From the mid-1950s, Botero's painting featured the subject of sunflowers, thus revealing an important influence by the Dutch Master, Vincent Van Gogh.
1977, more than two decades later, we are now confronted with a painter who has mastered his own artistic language, where the harmony of color and the exploration of volume are the main elements of his composition.
