Many painters have taken female intimacy as the subject of their paintings, and each one has found their particular interest in different scenes of everyday private life. Edgar Degas, Toulouse-Lautrec and Pierre Bonnard made their own versions of the topic of La Toilette, the Bathroom, creating an erotic atmosphere in the intimate routine of ordinary women.
